Book-keeping made simple
In your business, you get on with running things, and you
let your bookkeeper or accountant get on with the paperwork,
right? Wrong! Every entrepreneur needs to be on top of their
books to some extent. Otherwise how else do you know whether
you’re breaking even?
After all, it’s too late to do anything about any
problems if you wait ‘til the end of the tax year
for your accountant or bookkeeper to tell you that you were
in financial trouble in week one!
Instead we recommend you learn a few simple bookkeeping
disciplines so you know week-by-week how things are going.
And we’re running a special ‘Bookkeeping made
simple’ workshop to show you how.
What Bookkeeping made simple
covers
- What bookkeeping is, and how it will help you make
your business stronger.
- How to set up a workable and practical system that
works for you.
- The evening includes a short manual bookkeeping exercise
with Excel spreadsheet example to show you how it’s
done first hand.
What you’ll learn
Using a manual cashbook system or the spreadsheet template
from the example, you’ll have all the tools you need
to get you started when you get back to the office. You’ll
now know how to set up your bookkeeping system. You could
do your own basic bookkeeping, or at least know better what
your bookkeeper needs from you at the end of the year in
order to check your figures.
This course is for you if…
- You’re running your own business or are thinking
of starting one.
- You want to understand your financial position during
your working year so you can benefit from tax-saving advice
at the right time.
- You want to do some or all your own bookkeeping to
save on the cost of fees.
- You’re thinking of doing a bookkeeping qualification
eg manual bookkeeping, and you want a taster session or
you used to be a bookkeeper and want to get back into
it.
Course Dates
Wednesday 21 January, 2009 12.30pm to 3pm at HiB, Enterprise
House, 297 Pinner Road, Harrow HA1 4HS. Booking essential.
